Hello, you lovely nerds! As you may have noticed, SDCC is coming. We are all distractingly excited and nervous about our packing skills. Come Tuesday we will be in San Diego savoring the nerdity of it all. Sigh. Before then, let’s get to this week’s news shall we?
10. You Know…
You don’t even have to ask, I’m going to start with the latest craze to sweep the nerdom, PokémonGo. I’m not hating; it’s just not my thing. I have a number of friends who are taking part and our Jaime wrote a fabulous Gamer Girl article reviewing and explaining it to us. I personally will not venture into it, unless a Harry Potter Quidditch equivalent happens. In which case, watch out! How far down the rabbit hole have you gone?
Also, we can’t stress this enough… Yes. All the yes. Please.
dear nintendo, please put super rare pokemon at polling places this november

9. Sherlock
With news that Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss, and Sue Vertue would be attending SDCC this year, we didn’t imagine any exciting new until then, but photographs from the set have surfaced. Looks like one of those awesome shots Sherlock has become famous for is afoot! See more photos here.
8. Elena
For Disnerds of all ages, Disney has officially introduced its first-ever Latina princess, releasing the first trailer for “Elena of Avalor,” set to debut July 22 at 7 p.m. on the kids’ network. See more here.
7. Emoji
There is more news for you, Disnerds! We’re getting those emojis we’ve been wanting! Hey, sometimes you need an Ariel emoji ok?! Especially when you’re talking to a friend who dreams of being a mermaid. Will be downloading these? See more here.
6. Wally West
Look what was revealed this week; and the suit looks epic! Is it time yet? Come on CW DC TV!
5. Thanos
Speaking of anticipation. Seems the Mad Titan will be getting a new series. See all the details here.
4. X-men
Looks like FOX is developing a pilot for a new X-men series from Matt Nix. See more details here.
3. Gambit
The Gambit film has shifted to begin shooting spring of next year. See more information here.
2. Ghostbusters
A little food for thought. Being hesitant is one thing, but when you spew hate for something beyond reason just because it will “ruin your childhood,” do me a favor and remember something. You grew up, it’s not about you anymore. This. This face is everything guys. Please let us know if you go see the movie.
1. Orion Nebula
Enjoy a new view of the gorgeous Orion Nebula and wonder in awe of our universe. See more here.
Keep an open mind, an open heart and Nerd On!
