Here are your nerdy news bites for this week, nerds!
10. Iron Man
Taking this week by storm and causing Twitter feeds to be filled by opinionated Marvelites, an MIT genius by the name of Riri Williams. See more here.
9. Ragnarok
Ragnarok has begun filming!
8. Game of Thrones
Has. Been. Delayed. Yes, my jaw dropped and I immediately let Jaime know. We have to be understanding and patient, but we’re not going to be happy about it. Just saying, especially after that last two epic episodes, we need to know what happens next! Thinking we had nine months was bad enough. Sigh. See more here.
7. Hamilton
The only thing that could take us out of our GoT sadness is Hamilton. It never fails guys. With a number of the original stars performing one last time before exiting the show at the end of this week, including Lin, new cast members have been added to the production! Brandon Victor Dixon will be taking over as Aaron Burr and Lexi Lawson as Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton. See more here.
6. Double Dare
Talk about a crazy dose of nostalgia! Double Dare is coming back kids. Nickelodeon is reviving the show with host Marc Summers, but only at SDCC in celebration of the show’s 30th anniversary. Rub it in, Nickelodeon. Rub it in. See more here.
5. Captain America
Speaking of SDCC, keep your eyes open for the 75th Anniversary giant statue commemorating the first avenger. This statue will find it’s permanent home in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park! Apropos! Here’s hoping we can get some shots of it. See more here.
4. Ready Player One
I am desperate for more news on this! I absolutely adored this book and am looking forward to seeing Spielberg’s vision for it. Collider has provided a list of what we know so far. I hope it holds you over. See more here.
3. Harry Potter
Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London is offering the chance to feast at the Hogwarts table in their model of the magical Great Hall! Can someone sponsor our trip to experience this?! Tickets for the special breakfasts in August will be around $123 per person. See more here.
2. Wreck-It Ralph
We are getting a sequel, slated for release March 9, 2018. Let’s hope we hear more at D23 next year. See more info here.
1. Juno
In case you weren’t aware, Juno has reached Jupiter and she’s getting some scandalous shots of her cheating husband. See more here and the actual science here.
And there you have it. The countdown is truly on now. Just two more weeks until SDCC!
