Full disclosure. I am a complete Disnerd. That being said, there was another animated genius that was a huge influence in my childhood: Don Bluth. So for this week’s Top Nerdy 10, I’m counting down my favourite Bluth films. Time for a quick journey to the past 😉 Allons-y!

10. The Pebble And The Penguin
How could you not love sweet, awkward, wacky, Hubie?
9. A Troll In Central Park
I may have pranced around Central Park looking for trolls… Actually I was just looking for Stanley. Don’t judge.
8. Thumbelina
I completely related with Thumbelina’s desire to belong.
7. An American Tail
“Somewhere out there if love can see us through. Then we’ll be together somewhere out there…” :’)
6. Rock-A-Doodle
Two words. Christopher. Plummer. He is perfectly cast as Duke. And I love the rockabilly Elvis vibe of the soundtrack as well.
5. All Dogs Go To Heaven
I’ll let the clip speak for itself. I recommend having a hanky at the ready.
4. The Land Before Time
Dinosaurs! Ugly sobbing! Yup.
3. Titan A.E.
This was my animated Firefly. The most adventure filled underrated animated film in my opinion.
2. The Secret of NIMH
This film terrified me as a kid. But as I got older, I fell more in love with the mystery and wonder of the NIMH.
1. Anastasia
Arguably one of my favourite films of all time. Historical inaccuracies aside, the music in Anastasia is timeless and just incredibly beautiful.
