Hello, nerds! Welcome to another Crafternoon, devoted to witches, wizards, and spells gone wrong! I won’t waste any time, let’s do this!
Harry Potter Wand
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Wrz5cHgwmY&w=560&h=315]
These are so simple to make and look straight out of Harry Potter!
Hocus Pocus Spell Book Replica
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRc-jFbsD4c&w=420&h=315]
I’ve seen quite a few of these but this was by far the best one that I found. The crafter notes that it takes her about two weeks to make one of these books because she has to work in stages, so keep that in mind if you are going to use her process to make your own.
DIY Necronomicon from Evil Dead
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6HGmFxxUSE&w=560&h=315]
This evil spell book can easily be made from things you probably already have in your home or can buy very inexpensively!
Witch Broom Stick
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GR3Jzmvcjxs&w=560&h=315]
I made a broom stick very similar to this one! It was so easy to make and I was able to gather most of the material in my own backyard!
Ooh shiny!
Rumpel’s Dagger from OUAT
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpMU9K73P04&w=560&h=315]
This is very simple, yet effective.
Papier Mache Shrunken Head
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoPVUqTlbXI&w=560&h=315]
I one time made my own shrunken head prop using garlic heads….very effective but they do start to stink! While my method might be okay for a temporary prop, if you want something long-term I would suggest a non-perishable version such as this one!
Spooky Witch’s Jar/Bottle Potion Decorations by Kenzie Mastroe on eHow
Every good little witch needs jars in which to store the ingredients to perform spells!
Harry Potter Sorting Hat by Little Page Turners
(The only thing I would probably do differently with this is perhaps paint it with a wash of a darker brown and maybe do some shading to enhance the crevices)
There you have it! Try out some of these witchy, magical crafts before All Hallows Eve!
Stay witchy my friends *insert witch cackle*
