Decoupage Comic Book Shoes
There are several different ways you can go about tackling this style of shoe. This method can be done on virtually any type of shoe, including canvas.

Painting Canvas Shoes
There are so many examples of awesome, nerdy painted canvas shoes on the web. You can do something as simple as painting a small portion (as seen in the Pokemon video below), add something to the shoe utilizing its existing color (as seen in the bottom picture) or even paint the WHOLE shoe with your design. The options are pretty much endless!

The Iron Shoes
Nikki Rose makes some awesome nerdy shoes. This pair she made by painting little cocktail swords silver and adhering them to a pair of shoes to represent the Iron Throne in Game of Thrones. Pretty SHARP! (*nudge nudge* see what I did there?)
