Replicate This Crafternoon: The NeverEnding Story

Welcome, Crafter-nerds! I’ve been inspired to write this week about a movie I loved so dearly as a child, and still love to this day: The Neverending Story! There is a severe lack of merchandise for this beloved 80s fantasy film so I thought, I wonder how many crafty nerds have tried making their own NES memorabilia? Take a look at what I found!

Falkor Plush

This Falkor plush has gotten a lot of attention on our Facebook page! Lara Hosler of GameGuardians on Etsy has gotten so many requests for her Falkor plush (over 1500!) and can only produce 15 a month. Smart and considerate business woman she is, Lara does not want to have to overcharge for her plush. So in order to minimize the orders, she has given those who are on the crafty side the option of making their own using her pattern and detailed materials list! You can purchase the Falkor Plush pattern here.

Polymer Clay Auryn Necklace

Check out this amazingly detailed tutorial video by YouTuber Diav Draconia! This makes me feel as though she retrieved the necklace from Atreyu himself! I feel like I need to start dabbling in the art of polymer clay…

Rockbiter Figure

Though I have not been able to find any tutorials on how to sculpt the big fella, admire this work by Deviantart user yotaro-sculpts and perhaps use it as a reference if you have sculpting ability. They look like big, good, strong hands. Don’t they? Be sure to leave the big guy some rocks to munch on!

Childlike Empress/Moonchild Pearl Headpiece

You can make your own headpiece by stringing pearls on 4 separate strands, attaching the strands together in the back, and then attaching them to an accent piece in the front. Here’s a picture for reference. Or if you’re not up for making your own you can buy one from BizArtGallery on Etsy.

I also want to shout out to some amazing crafters for the creations you see below:

And finally, these Neverending Story Recycled Book Page Earrings by PrettyBookish on Etsy (This reminds me of our Literary Week Crafternoon Post!)

This makes me wish to create a Fantasia of my very own….

Bastian: How many wishes do I get?

The Childlike Empress: As many as you want. And the more wishes you make, the more magnificent Fantasia will become.

That’s all! Stay Nerdy, my friends!
