Aylah Plays Overwatch
Hello, Nerdlings! Aylah took over our Twitch channel earlier this week to play Overwatch. We know it has been FOREVER since we released a Nerdy Kidz Corner, so we wanted to come back with something we hadn’t done before. Aylah is planning to bring you a lot more game play videos very soon!
Aylah has been enjoying Overwatch; she especially loves this game for the amount of girl power! Her favorite characters are D.Va, Mei, Widowmaker, and Mercy. She also enjoyed trying out Symmetra for the first time in this play through.
D.Va
Role: Tank
D.Va has a mech to provide shielding and extra firepower.
ABILITIES:

- Call Mech
Mei
Role: Defense
Mei can use her icy powers to slow down her opponents and protect certain locations.
Abilities:
- Endothermic Blaster
- Cryo-Freeze
- Ice Wall
- Blizzard
Widowmaker
Role: Defense
Widowmaker does whatever it takes to eliminate her opponents by means of poisonous gas mines, her infra-sight visor, and her sniper rifle.
ABILITIES:
- Widow’s Kiss
- Grappling Hook
- Venom Mine
- Infra Sight
Mercy
Role: Support
Mercy acts as the team “Guardian Angel” using her Caduceus Staff to heal, resurrect, or strengthen teammates.

- Caduceus Blaster
- Guardian Angel
- Angelic Descent
- Resurrect
Symmetra
Role: Support
Symmetra utilizes her light-bending Photon Projector to dispatch adversaries, shield her associates, construct teleportation pads and deploy particle-blasting Sentry Turrets.

- Sentry Turret
- Photon Shield
- Teleporter
These are just the Heroes that Aylah typically chooses. There are many other Heroes to choose from. Aylah typically does the quick matches. Though playing against AI tends to be a bit easier, Aylah enjoys the challenge and competition of playing against other real live players. She gets very excited when her team wins, though she really hopes she gets the title of “Play of the Game” at some point.

This game is equally fun for kids and adults, and I am impressed that my young daughter has surpassed her father’s level in this game. There’s no real story in playing this game, it’s more about teamwork, competition, and collecting loot!
