Ahhh, Nerdy Foodie Friday! It feels great to be back into the swing of things. As you can imagine, it was a slow adjustment back to normal life after our week in San Diego with the nerd family. Let’s call it our first annual reunion since last year’s NerdHQ. So you can imagine that we wanted to do everything together and spend some much needed quality time together. We made it work even during the craziness of NerdHQ and the Con. Looking back we pretty much kept to just a couple places to eat when we were out and about during the day. A food truck called SuperQ , The Mission, and The Nerdery (a work in progress).
SuperQ (@SuperQFoodTruck)
Who does not love good BBQ? We certainly do! The food that was being produced by the SuperQ crew was phenomenal. It was here where almost all of us tried a sandwich melt with BBQ and MAC and CHEESE!! Say wha??! That’s right folks! SuperQ served a hot sandwich that mixed two comfort foods all rolled into one! It was so good that we barely got a picture of said sandwich before it was devoured. They also have some righteous sliders, my personal favourite was the pulled pork slider. It had the right amount of coleslaw, pulled pork, and BBQ sauce. It was a delicious mess! So if you’re ever near the SuperQ food truck, we hope you’ll stop by and try their food! How can you not enjoy your food with this smiling face serving you? (Thanks Tiffany! You Rock!)

The Mission (@The_Mission_SD)
The Mission holds a very dear and special place in our hearts. It was here where three of us had breakfast for the first time together last year at NerdHQ. So it was only fitting that we went back to The Mission with the rest of the nerd family and have breakfast all together.
Now, when you take nine nerds all in one table with pancakes, breakfast burritos, and hash; craziness can ensue. And craziness did happen. It was here at The Mission where we came up with a new concept.

The Nerdery
The Nerdery: a place where nerds and other folks can enjoy breakfast nerd style. It was when we were eating this delicious food from The Mission where the following food items were created: Hiddlecakes with maple syrup, Loki berry compote, Chris Cubed honey toast box, Zachary Hiddleston signature dish, Pratt Pratt pancakes, Hiddle tots, Hiddles hashbrowns, Hashtag hashbrowns, Morgan burger, The Awesome, The Fillion cheesesteak, The Tudyk (black coffee), The Smolder (perhaps a spicy cocktail?), Wil’s Wheaties, and Eggs Benedict Cumberbatch. Thanks to Roni, Michelle, Rich, Rachel, and Jams for being the creative brains behind these dishes. We clearly are on a Hiddleston love train, and love Hiddles dearly. What do these dishes look like? We have no idea. But we clearly love Hiddlecakes. We’re not exactly sure what the Hiddlecakes look like yet. It quite possibly could look like this:
Whatever it will look like, we think it’ll be a hit when people come over to this eatery of ours one day! (Someone win the lottery quick!)
And that is a wrap on our look back at San Diego. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Happy Friday!
