Hello all!
Welcome to a very special edition of Foodie Friday! We are coming live from San Diego, where we are enjoying ourselves at NerdHQ (brought to nerds from all walks of life by The Nerd Machine). Throughout this weekend, the ladies from Nerdy Curiosities have been eating out and enjoying ourselves with the rest of our nerd family (we say it with a lot of love!) here in San Diego for the past week. Here are a few spots we have come to enjoy a bite to eat during our stay here in sunny SoCal!
The Mission
One of our favourites here in San Diego! The Mission is a great place to grab some breakfast and/or brunch if you have some time to sit down and eat before heading to Comic Con, NerdHQ, or other off site events in the city. Everything from huge pancakes, to their yummy breakfast burritos, The Mission is a great place to hang out with your friends for a hearty morning and/or mid-morning meal.

Candelas on the Bay
We ventured out to Coronado Island for a relaxing beach day and found our fuel after some fun in the sun at Candelas on the Bay Mexican restaurant. Hands down one of the yummiest fish tacos we have every tried! Not to mention the salsa that is served with the complimentary tortilla chips is very addicting!

Coronado Cupcakery
We ladies at Nerdy Curiosities headquarters have a fairly sweet tooth! So to round up our day trip to Coronado Island, we decided early on to go back to the cupcakes! The actual cake part was fairly moist and yummy! The majority of our group decided to get different flavours: Lemon, Peppermint pattie, Chocolate, Cinnamon Banana, and S’mores; and they all tasted yummy-licious!

And finally, who does not love chocolates, truffles, popcorn, and salt water taffy?? We found a place that caters to both humans and canines who love sweet treats! Spreckels, you outdid yourself in a good way!
