Nerdstalgia: Disney’s Kim Possible

Who had style, brains, and athleticism? Kim Possible of course! Cheerleader by day, human superhero by night saving the world from super villains! She’s just your average teenager who wants to make the world a safer place.

KP!! Say what time is it? It’s time to track down Dr. Drakken and Shego! This animation series is fantastic! Kim Possible is quick on her feet (although most of the time she’s tripping over Ron Stoppable or fixing his mistakes – Rufus, his naked mole rat, is smarter than Ron) and not only is she beautiful, she is smart. Book smart. She shows girls that having brains are just as beautiful, and that you don’t have to work alone all the time. Teamwork can be a beautiful thing. Especially if you have Wade in your corner with all the technology covered. And let’s not forget the theme song. So catchy!

“Kim Possible! Call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me! Doesn’t matter where, doesn’t matter when, I will be there ’til the very end!”

AHHH! Kim Possible! If you’ve never watched the series, go ahead and give it a whirl!

Rach’s View:

First, let’s get one thing straight. The unsung hero of the KP universe was without a doubt, Rufus.

Aside from a kickass mole rat, I think the greatest accomplishment of Kim Possible was the harmonious balance of punny and nerdy (two of my favourite-y things). Kim wasn’t your typical hero. She was tough, kind, smart, and vulnerable. She proved that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero. What’s important was believing in yourself and having good friends by your side. It’s a winning combination.

And if there was one thing you can take away from all of the hi-jinx and mayhem, it’s take on the impossible and always be unstoppable 😉
