It’s finally October!

We are so excited and have multi-themes planned for each week of this month. This first week is focused on the supernatural. Yes, Sam and Dean may make an appearance because you can’t really have a supernatural week without acknowledging a show on its 12th season.

I wanted to share a few of my favorite supernatural podcasts. As many of you know, I am a podcast addict, and I truly enjoy listening to mystery and horror podcasts. I highly recommend these and hope you will check them out.

Lore

supernatural podcast

Unlike many “spooky” podcasts, Lore is rooted in truth. Aaron Mahnke leads us on trips through history, explaining the birth of legends and exposing the dark side of history. The tagline is perfect. “Because sometimes the truth is more frightening than fiction.”

Lore will soon be making its way to our televisions. What that format will be, there’s no word, but I will definitely be watching. Lore is available on iTunes and GooglePlay.

Unexplained

supernatural podcast

If you want a little more spooky truths, give Unexplained a listen. This is a bi-weekly podcast about strange and mysterious events that remain unexplained. The podcast is available on iTunes and you can find music used on the show here.

The Black Tapes

supernatural podcast

The Black Tapes is a bi-weekly podcast from Pacific Northwest Stories and Minnow Beats Whale, hosted by Alex Reagan. This podcast is a serialized docudrama about a journalist’s search for truth, the deliciously mysterious Dr. Strand, and “the literal and figurative ghosts that haunt them both.” If you’re a fan of the supernatural, this is for you. It is available on iTunes and more.

Tanis

supernatural podcast

This is a serialized bi-weekly podcast from the creators of Pacific Northwest Stories hosted by Nic Silver about the myth of Tanis. We join Nic in his exploration of the nature of truth, conspiracy, and information revolving Tanis. “Tanis is what happens when the lines of science and fiction start to blur…”
