Hello Fri-Yay! Welcome back to another episode of Nerdie Foodie! This past weekend, our very own Jaime had the chance to check out VTCC in Burlington, VT (check out her overview post here). She was also amazing enough (let’s face it, Jams is just amazing period) to take a few photos for Nerdie Foodie. Let’s go check them out and see what her thoughts are!
North Country Cakes
North Country Cakes owner, Nicole Maddox, showed us her Super Mario skills and 1-Up’ed our eyes and taste buds with these impressive cupcakes! Check out her website and Facebook for more deliciousness!
Jaime: I literally spotted these from across the convention room and was giddy with excitement! Not only were the cupcakes stunning but her presentation was very well thought out. That to me truly makes the difference when you are trying to sell things at a convention.
Now what woman can resist chocolate, let alone nerdy chocolate?? Not this girl. Thank you Jams for stopping by this booth! Victoria Campomanes is the brains behind this chocolatier operation. You can find more chocolate-y goodness on her website and Facebook. You will not be disappointed.
Jaime: I remember seeing her booth at VTCC last year and she has definitely expanded her line of nerd themed chocolates! Those character face chocolates of the zombie, Deadpool, and the Hulk…are the size of an actual face!
These cupcakes from Honeymoon Kitchens are just absolutely fun and beautifully decorated. They also sell everything from cakes, pies, and everything in between! Check out their website and Facebook for their upcoming events/shows!
Jaime: I always get excited when I see My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic related ANYTHING! I actually got to try one of the chocolate cupcakes and they are so moist and delicious! I highly recommend!
There you have it! Just a taste of what Vermont Comic Con has to offer for those Nerdie Foodies like us. If you have tried any of these places or have others you recommend, let us know it the comments below! You never know, we might just stop by for a nerdy taste test.
‘Til next time,
