Nerdie Foodie: Stranger Things

Hello Nerdie Foodies! Who is ready to return to The Upside Down? Season 2 of Stranger Things is coming back to Netflix tomorrow! So, in honour of this show, I have found 8 recipes as there were 8 chapters (aka. episodes) in Season 1. Get ready for things to get slightly stranger. Let’s go!

Chapter One: The Christmas Lights Cupcakes

Christmas lights. This cupcake recipe can be used for double duty – Stranger Things and for all the annual Christmas parties during the holiday season. At least with these lights you can’t get tangled in them! Bree (from Baked Bree) shares with us her recipe here!

Chapter Two: Dustin’s Chocolate Pudding

Need a snack to go? Feast of Starlight has got you covered with this chocolate pudding recipe that Dustin would surely go bananas for! Pretty sure he would horde batches of these puddings instead of Lunch Lady Phyllis’ stash. Check out the recipe here!

Chapter Three: Eggo Waffle Maple Cupcakes

Who doesn’t love cupcakes or Eggo Waffles? Why not together?? Youtuber Taylor (aka. Flour Girl) shares with us her recipe for these spiced cake cupcakes with maple syrup goodness and of course the Eggo waffles especially for Eleven. Check out the video tutorial below!

Chapter Four: Mrs. Wheeler’s Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes

Did you ever wanted to eat a meal cooked by Mrs. Wheeler? Now you can thanks to Feast of Starlight! Try your hand at Mrs. Wheeler’s meatloaf with mashed potatoes dinner recipe here! Just make sure it’s not too over cooked.

Chapter Six: Waffles from the Upside Down

If you encountered waffles from the Upside Down, what would it look like? That is the question Katharina (from Pretty Cake Machine) thought of when creating this recipe. She envisioned stacked buttermilk waffles (you could substitute with Eggo waffles) with chocolate pudding as the filling and covered in goopy slime and slugs. Check out this fun recipe here!

Chapter Seven: Demogorgon Pie

This is the official recipe from the kitchens of Netflix. Netflix states, “eat the pie, or be eaten by the pie”. I think I’d rather eat this pumpkin cherry pie… Check out the recipe tutorial below!

Chapter Eight: French Onion Barb

Finally, the creepiest recipe of them all. No seriously, Netflix chefs have outdone themselves on this one. Barb has been found. I repeat, Barb has been found….in the form of French onion soup. Poor Barb. Check out the recipe tutorial below if you dare.

There you have it Nerdie Foodies. I hope y’all have fun watching the newest season of Stranger Things.

‘Til next time,

Stay spookalicious!
