Nerdie Foodies, if you are single, congratulations! You survived Singles Awareness Day (aka. Valentine’s Day) hopefully unscathed for the most part. This calls for a celebration and let the good times roll! So, hit the stores for the post-Singles Awareness Day chocolate sales, and check out some of these delicious treat recipes to accompany your self-appreciation (<- can this be an actual holiday?) no-need-to-count-the-calories, treat day to get over those V-Day blues!! Let’s go!
Main Street Bakery’s Cinnamon Rolls
What a better way to start things off with a cinnamon roll? This recipe is a make-from-scratch kind of cinnamon roll. You can’t beat that because you can add as much of that cream cheese frosting/icing as you want! Brooke (from Disney Food Blog) somehow got her hands on this Main Street bakery staple’s (I don’t know how she did it) recipe card! Drool. Worthy. Check out the recipe here!
Dole Whip (Vegan)
This is a copycat recipe of the famous Dole Whip treat in Disneyland. And what’s great is that this is vegan friendly! All you need equipment wise is a blender. This recipe is from Blendtec and the only thing that is missing in this recipe is after you blend all the ingredients together, you scoop it out of the blender and into a cup or a bowl to enjoy. They also have some other flavour variations listed at the bottom of the post that sounds just as delicious as the original. Check out the recipe here!
Do you like the colour pink? If not, it’s okay, you may like this kind of pink when it’s in a cream puff. That’s right PINK cream puffs in honour of Jigglypuff! Disclaimer: No Jigglypuffs were harmed in the creation of these cream puffs. Tracy (from Baking Mischief) shares with us her recipe here! They look so light and fluffy!
Remember when Starbucks came out with the unicorn frappuccino? Now you can make it in its cake form! Thanks to Rosanna Pansino (from Nerdy Nummies) and with the help from YouTuber Lauren (from LaurDIY), they create the unicorn frappuccino cake! Check out the recipe below!
If you are more of a cheesecake fan, this is another recipe from Tracy at Baking Mischief! There is cheesecake, there is whipped cream, and it is a no-bake recipe. What more can you ask for? Super quick and easy to make and it’s a small batch so it can be consumed fairly quickly. Check out the recipe here!
Mirror Mousse Cake
If you’re like us and love the galaxy, this next recipe is for you. They do take a bit of work to make (but then again, what galaxy is easy to make these days?) and a little bit of love for these beauties to turn out, but Elizabeth LaBau (from Sugar Hero) shares with us her recipe and method. Check it out here!
White Queen Cocktail
This cocktail is a sweet and fruity combination that is decorated with a strawberry and marshmallow on the rim. Lisa (from Mom on the Side) shares with us her tropically sweet cocktail with us that is equally sweet as the White Queen herself. Check out the recipe mix here!
An elegant drink for an elegant princess. This drink was created by Amanda Ferguson (from Drinks & Décor) share with us her method and recipe for this beautiful cocktail that has citrus and floral accents. Check out the recipe here!
Lumiere’s Torch Cocktail
Another one of mixologist Amanda Ferguson’s creations. A slightly stronger cocktail for the ever bold and stately candelabra with a sense of adventure. Check out this adventurous drink recipe here and watch out for the flames!
Red Rose Cocktail
And finally, a drink to conclude them all, the Red Rose cocktail. This is the kind of drink you could sip on all night long. Created by Just Plum Crazy, this drink has a berry flavour to it, with both a tart and sweet taste. Check out the cocktail recipe here!
And there you have it! I hope you enjoy post Singles-Awareness-Day day with these wonderful treats and drinks! And just remember, you survived another year.
‘Til next time,
