Nerdie Foodie: New Year, Nerd Fit Oatmeal & Porridge

Hello and welcome back to another edition of Nerdie Foodie! This week we turn to oatmeal and porridge for another installment of the New Year, Nerd Fit series! Oatmeal? Porridge? Really? Why yes! It doesn’t have to be boring and best of all, it’s like a blank canvas. You can add your favourite fruits, spices and toppings to it. They are a great way to get in your daily fibre and fruit intake. And on top of that, help you feel full longer so that you’ll make it to lunch without having as many snack-y cravings (aka helping you prevent from over eating). Let’s go!

Rushed for time? Making overnight oatmeal can be a great way to ensure you get in a healthy breakfast but not have to wake up earlier to make it since it would have been done all the night before. Shay (What the Fork Food Blog) shares with us her recipe here!
