Nerdie Foodie: Flower and Garden Festival Season

If you are heading to Epcot this year for Disney’s International Flower and Garden Festival (March 2 – July 4, 2022), I am envious and will live vicariously through you all! It has been a bucket list travel stop for me for a very long time. So, the next best thing is to bring a bit of the festival spirit home with me. Here are five delicious copycat recipes from past years to have your very own Flower and Garden Festival at home!

Grilled Street Corn

Found at the Trowel & Trellis Outdoor Kitchen in 2019, this is a vegan elote recipe. It looks so appetizing and Instagram-able with its savoury garlic spread! Suzannah Mitchell Otis (from Vegan Disney Food.) shares with us the official Disney recipe here!

Roasted Corn Salad

From 2016, another fan favourite was the Roasted Corn Salad from THE SMOKEHOUSE: Barbecue and Brews. It was served with the smoked pork ribs, however, you could have it all on its own. Pam Brandon (from Disney Parks Blog) shares the official recipe for this colourful salad that is bursting with flavour here!

Chocolate Pudding Terrarium

This plant-based pudding cup looks so cute! Plus, you can (almost) never go wrong when there is chocolate involved! This one just happens to be a vegan recipe and was debut in 2020 at the Garden Graze, complete with edible flowers! Penny (from Penny’s Portal) shares with us her copycat recipe here – edible flowers optional!

Watermelon Cucumber Slush

Who doesn’t love a refreshing drink? As the weather starts to get warmer, the hydration from watermelons and cucumbers are welcomed! Melanniee (from Polka Dots and Pixie Dust) shares with us her copycat recipe from this 2018 drink entry from the FLORIDA FRESH stand! Check out her recipe here!

Tiger Lily Sangria

Can’t forget a delish boozy cocktail to complement your sunny, warm, fresh table spread! Making its appearance at the JARDIN DE FIESTAS in the Mexico pavilion in 2018, this delightful cocktail was also another fan favourite! Traci C (from The Disney Food Blog) shares with us the official recipe here!
