Nerdie Foodie: Disneyland 2016 Edition

Disneyland. The place where it happens! Even though we only had one day at Disneyland this year, we still had a blast. Our nerd family grows in size every year. This year was no exception, Team Nerds was in full force at Disneyland. The memories we created there will last us a lifetime. Thank you to our dear friends (aka. tour guides) Edgar, Chris, NikCorrine, Fernando, and Keisha for showing us around and making our day very memorable!

Let’s check out the food!

Starbucks

First things first, breakfast. We got up super early to get to Disneyland right when it opened and were in need of coffee, tea, and food. Edgar showed us our options and in the end, we ended up at Starbucks on Main Street. Jaime bought a snack pack and Rach ended up with a yummy iced tea.

French Quarter

For lunch, our group took a break at the French Market Restaurant in the French Quarter. Rach and I decided to share the New Orleans salad and their Jambalaya along with their jalapeno cornbread. Let’s just say I have been looking forward to that yummy cornbread for a long time! SO GOOD!

Mint Julep Bar

And of course, because we had amazing tour guides, they made sure we didn’t miss out on the Disney beignets! Although I still have to try one, I was stuffed to my eyeballs with the yummy salad and jambalaya. But that is a goal for next time!

Frontierland

One cannot forget about the Disneyland churros! You can find them everywhere within the Disneyland park. Chris decided make a pit stop with his group (@WookieGirl75, @J_Simpson87, and @ClaytonMyers) in Frontierland for a churro snack!

Plaza Inn

And finally, we had dinner on Main Street at the Plaza Inn for their famous fried chicken dinner! And boy was that ever good! Three pieces of friend chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and buttermilk biscuit! Rach and I split this dinner (as we normally do) and boy are we glad we did! Large portions for a great price of $17 (plus tax). Totally worth it! And Laura and Roni had a taste of Disneyland’s version of Red Velvet cake

I could not have imagined a better day at Disneyland than spending it with this group of nerds!

Til next time,

Stay nerdalicious!
