This week is a huge milestone for one of the classical Disney movies. Sleeping Beauty turns 60 years old. 60 YEARS! So, it’s only fitting that we celebrate with these fantastic Sleeping Beauty inspired recipes.
Side note: Most of these recipes are from the Disney Family collection, but this post is in no way shape or form sponsored by Disney Family. I just really like the recipes from their community.
Okay, let’s go check them out!
Pretzel Stick Fairy Wands
A simple yet fun recipe that fulfills those sweet and salty cravings! Thanks to a Disney Family contributor, you can now create your own fairy wands and bring a magical spark to your Sleeping Beauty celebrations! Check out the recipe here!
Aurora’s Blue and Pink Cupcakes
These sweet treats are absolutely stunning. With the fun mix of blue and pink coloured cupcake base sets the tone for the overall look of this recipe! It’s from another Disney Family contributor, so you too can make your own batch of this duelling coloured treat. Check out the recipe here. And if you need a visual, check out the video tutorial below!
Sleeping Beauty Smoothie Bowl
I’ve always wondered when Princess Aurora woke up, is she hungry after being asleep for so long? I know I would. Jessica McDonald (also from Disney Family) shares with us this healthy yet tasty smoothie bowl! Check out the recipe here!
Maleficent Smoothie Bowl
If Princess Aurora can have her own smoothie bowl, why not Maleficent. Still a healthy option, Jessica (from The Healthy Mouse) shares with us her recipe to make this a delightfully tropical and sweet flavour. Check out the recipe here!
Maleficent Cake Jars
While we are on the train of regal evils, this beautiful creation is by another Disney Family contributor. Individual sized, and it even comes with the horns. Check out this recipe here and if you need a visual guide, check out the video below!
This milkshake brings all the kids to the kitchen! That’s right! It’s a Mal inspired milkshake! Can’t go wrong with this two-toned delicious drink. Thanks to Sarah (from Sweet Lil You) this version is great for all ages. Check out the recipe here!
The Sleeping Beauty Cocktail
For the adults wanting more of a boozy drink, the Tipsy Bartender has you covered. He recreates this recipe by Cocktails by Cody. This gorgeous drink may take some practice to get the layering technique pat down. Keep practicing and you too can make this drink at home! Check out the recipe here and the video tutorial below!
Sleeping Beauty Donut Cake
To finish us off, Vickie Liu (from Disney Family) shows us how we can make our own towering blue cake – in donut form! With a strategically placed edible broomstick, this towering cake can be easily seen as the cake made by the fairies. Just note that the recipe is near the end of the post. Check out this fun recipe here!
We hope you have the happiest of birthdays Princess Aurora and Maleficent! Happy 60th!
‘Til next time,
