Wired for the win! An epic cover showing off ILM feats!
If you’re one of those folks who aren’t big on “special effects” movies, you’re on the wrong blog. 😛 No,  seriously, I know some people who have a difficult time connecting with effect heavy films. Some folks feel it distracts from the story, but even if it’s not your cup of tea. You have to give credit where credit is due.
The origins of ILM read like a classic “don’t give up on your dreams” tale, it is an incredible company with achievements that span 100’s of films. It has changed and influenced not only the film industry, spawning Pixar, but has evolved to make technological advancements like mo-cap.
I tip my hat to the makers, creators, designers and visionaries! Thank you for making fantastical worlds that I can escape to, small and large.
