A Nerds Menagerie: Fantasy Art

I am a huge fan of anything that is able to transport me to a different reality. We are consistently bombed with the negative and the ugly everywhere we go. We are programmed to always focus on the bad stuff and don’t relish in the positives nearly as much as we should! For what it’s worth, I hope these pieces transport you to a place that offers a respite from the day-to-day.

Madrid based artist Pamen Pereira creates a restless ocean in a fishbowl for someone’s decor. See video below and go to his website to view more of his fantastical art.

There’s a Wayne Thiebaud book available for preorder on Amazon. His extreme landscape paintings remind me of Inception.

Speaking of Inception, check out this behind the scenes video on the Interstellar Tesseract.

Tasmania-based furniture and lighting designer, Duncan Meerding, has created gorgeous log lamps that can be used as stools, or tables and would be an amazing addition to any home. Check these out at Colossal.

Lastly, I’ll leave you with this…an absolutely gorgeous visual treatment for an equally gorgeous Bach piece.
